I kept that Triple Crown hope door open, I was so hoping he would win..but, it turned out to be a Hot Pace and Calvin Borel shouldn’t of had Super Saver up there so early in a Hot Pace, and I’m sure racing hard two weeks before, winning the Derby took a lot of him. The other horses that ran in the Derby slowed their pace knowing they weren’t going to win…basically saving themselves for the next race.. The times were really quick early. Many thought it was going to be a slow pace, including me. It just goes to show anything can happen in horse racing. Well, now that all is said and done, I too, I’m very lucky that all horses and connections are safe, healthy and lucky!
My Picks were, Super Saver, Lookin At Lucky, Jackson Bend…I guess two out of three ain’t terrible..lol! Looking At Lucky and Jackson Bend save the day for me..lol!
Looking forward to the Belmont…Ice Box will be tough to beat!! Hope to see you nearly Belmont time, in 3 weeks.
Pleasant Prince- This closer was narrowly defeated by Ice Box, sprinter-up in the Kentucky Derby, in the Florida Derby on March 20th. With A Small Warm, a proven speed ball pace setter, being out of the Preakness the fractions may not be quick enough for Pleasant Prince’s preferred closing style. A closer typically sits far back in the field and waits for the early speedsters to tire, and then moves up in a closing drive to pick off the tiring leaders.

Huge Brown at Belmont (Triple Crown race)?
What’s your opinion? Is the 3YO field weak this year (can you show evidence of this)?
Can Casino Drive really take him at the Belmont Stakes? I’ve enclosed the only two races that CD has been in. Does he impress you as much as BB? I know he has the pedigree for the distance, but can he really beat the “Freak”?
Can Dennis of Cork really pull it out? He finished fifth at Illinois and a far third at the K-Derby. Does he really have it in him? What about Macho Again?
What about BB’s front feet (can they soubriquet all this running)? In the challenge of a “game” race can he really win a duel? What do you reckon?

But if we do, I would NOT give the credit to that teacher.

Hockey on pay-per-view?
Would this system work better for the USA, especially in the play-offs.
If anyone wants to read the article, it is at philly.com-sports and is written by Sam Donnellon, free “NHL’s future on TV can’t be of poorer quality than the past”. Try out it out- a excellent read for you die-hards IMO.
Andy- did I say NHL center ice package?
TheOnlyBeldin- if you read the report he touches on this. Unknown watches boxing when it is on for free either LOL but they pay for over-hyped matches. Excellent point but this guy (Donnellen) makes a excellent point too.
Yeah it’d never happen, but it’s a thought.
I don’t really see this working because there are too many areas in which hockey is just not analogous to boxing. But…who knows…I guess it could work. Or maybe it’ll just work better than this.
What would annoy me about pay per view is that I would have to pay to watch the games. I don’t like any sport enough to pay to watch the games…unless it’s like 5 bucks. Thirty bucks though? Forty? Fifty? I’m not going to get a bunch of people to watch it with me so it’s not really worth it.
That another thing. Boxing gets a lot of its sales to people who watch it as a group. Excellent luck finding a bunch of buddies who wanna spend the night watching hockey…not gonna happpen in America methinks.
But give this guy points for being creative.
Do horses get jet lag ?
Horses are individuals, like humans, so some probably ship better than others.
